Maybe you can’t head out to mission overseas right now, but you can still be a part of our work. Through your prayers and financial support, you can reach out to our brothers and sisters around the world. We can’t do it without your help.
Following in the footsteps of our founder Saint Daniel Comboni, our lay missionaries go to places where the needs are greatest. Over the years, we have worked in 11 countries, and currently serve in South America and Africa. In 2014, we are organizing new mission opportunities in Vietnam.
We are a Catholic community of lay people who live out our faith and ideals by walking with the poor of other countries, sharing our talents, learning from one another, and joining the struggle for a more just and compassionate world.
To assist you in discovering whether your path leads to lay mission service, we have some resources, including eligibility criteria, some Frequently Asked Questions, and a list of books that may help you think through your vocation.
We hear remarkable stories from our lay missionaries on the ground. While these provide but only a small glimpse of their long journeys, here we share some of their experiences in their own words. Please feel free to leave a comment.
